Debate had been intense for decades about the origins of the Pavlova. The Oxford English Dictionary seems to have settled the argument in 2010, ruling it was invented in New Zealand. There have been variants along the way, though the most traditional recipes involve a selection of summer fruits; berries, kiwi fruit, passionfruit etc on a meringue & cream base.

One thing is certain. The development of this artificial Pavlova originates in Australia!
